Parents Sponsorship

Parents and Grandparents Program is governed by IRCC invitation and it is not possible to submit an independent application without an invitation. From January 1, 2026, new applications will not be accepted unless IRCC issues new guidelines. The cases invited from the 2025 intake are still reviewed according to the relevant guidelines. For parents who do not have an invitation, a Super Visa may be a separate option.

For an invited case, the sponsor must have an official invitation, citizenship or permanent resident status, Canadian residency and minimum income for the designated years, and accept a long-term financial commitment. A spouse or common-law partner can be a co-signer if eligible. The parent or grandparent must also meet Canada’s admission requirements.

Professional fees are determined after reviewing the applicant’s circumstances, immigration history, number of family members, the complexity of the matter, and the scope of services required. After the assessment, the services, professional fees, and payment terms will be confirmed in a written retainer agreement.

Government processing fees, biometrics, medical examinations, translations, credential assessments, courier charges, and other third-party costs are separate from professional fees unless the written agreement expressly states otherwise.

• Official invitation letter from IRCC and related document of Interest to Sponsor;
• documents of sponsor’s status and address in Canada;
• Notice of Assessment required years and family documents to calculate family size;
• Documents proving the parent-child relationship;
• passport, birth certificate and civil status documents of the applicants;
• Co-signer documents, if any;
• Commitment form, permanent residence forms and family information;
• Police certificate, medical examination, biometrics and additional documents at the time of demand.
