Government Benefits Programs

About This Service

Income Assistance and Disability Assistance are provincial programs based on financial need. This is not an immigration service and the final decision rests with the BC government. Receiving help in some cases of sponsorship or financial commitment can have consequences and should be reviewed separately.

Eligibility

Applicants must live in BC, have acceptable status, demonstrate financial need and assets within the prescribed limits, and meet WorkBC procedures or applicable exceptions. The conditions of claimant, protected person, PR or citizen may be different.

Referral for This Service

Government benefits and social assistance programs are not immigration matters and fall outside the scope of Elegant Immigration Services’ practice.
