Group of 5 Sponsorship (G5)

Acceptance of new Group of Five and Community Sponsor applications is suspended until December 31, 2026. IRCC continues to process previously filed requests and currently the Group of Five can only review declared routes within the BVOR framework. This page should not advertise the registration of a new normal case.

For a previously filed case, eligibility is reviewed based on the time of receipt of the application and the completeness of the support obligations. For BVOR or any subsequent intake, the members of the group, the financial capacity, the accommodation program, the residence in the destination community and the status of the sponsored person must be evaluated strictly according to the current guidelines.

Professional fees are determined after reviewing the applicant’s circumstances, immigration history, number of family members, the complexity of the matter, and the scope of services required. To receive an assessment and fee information, please book a professional consultation. After the assessment, the services, professional fees, and payment terms will be confirmed in a written retainer agreement.

Government processing fees, biometrics, medical examinations, translations, credential assessments, courier charges, and other third-party costs are separate from professional fees unless the written agreement expressly states otherwise.

• Receipt and full copy of the previous case, if already registered;
• identity documents of group members and proof of their status in Canada;
• Financial documents, support commitment and Settlement Plan;
• Identity, family and refugee status documents of the applicant outside of Canada;
• Current PSR forms and representation documents, as the case may be;
• IRCC correspondence and any supplementary requests.
