Refugee Travel Document

People with Protected Person status in Canada may apply for a Refugee Travel Document. This document is not a Canadian passport and its issuance does not guarantee entry into the destination country. Using the passport of the country of origin or traveling to that country can have serious consequences for the protection status and should be consulted in advance.

Applicant must be present in Canada and prove eligible status, including Protected Person. The destination, the validity of the document and the need for a visa for the destination country are checked separately.
